Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") set forth the terms and conditions for using the smartphone application and web platform "DIYDeck" (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by AsoBePort (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our"). All users (hereinafter referred to as "User" or "you") must use the Service in compliance with these Terms.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms apply to all interactions between the User and us regarding the Service. By downloading, installing, accessing, or creating an account for the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all provisions of these Terms.
2. User-Generated Content & Community Guidelines
The Service allows users to create, upload, publish, and share woodworking blueprints, diagrams, dimensions, titles, descriptions, and images (collectively referred to as "User Content").
Zero-Tolerance Policy on Objectionable Content:
Users are strictly prohibited from posting, publishing, or sharing any User Content that:
- Contains sexually explicit material, obscenity, pornography, or extreme graphic violence.
- Constitutes defamation, harassment, hate speech, bullying, stalking, or threats against individuals or groups.
- Infringes upon any third-party intellectual property, privacy, copyright, or trademark rights.
- Promotes inherently hazardous activities, illegal constructions, or unsafe structural designs.
- Distributes spam, unauthorized advertising, phishing, or malicious scripts.
- Is otherwise deemed abusive, objectionable, or inappropriate by us.
We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding objectionable content and abusive users. We provide in-app reporting (Report) and user-blocking mechanisms. Upon receiving a report or identifying inappropriate content, we reserve the full right to remove the offending content and immediately terminate or suspend the offending user's account without prior notice.
3. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability (Important)
All woodworking blueprints, dimensional calculations, material specifications, and design data available on the Service (whether generated by the app or posted by community members) are provided strictly "AS IS" for reference purposes only.
We make no representations or warranties regarding the structural integrity, safety, load capacity, accuracy, or suitability of any blueprints. You must independently verify all dimensions, cutting clearances, joint strengths, and structural safety prior to undertaking any construction or DIY work.
We shall not be held liable for any bodily injuries, property damage, tool/material loss, construction errors, or financial damages resulting from the use of the Service or reliance on any blueprint information.
We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from device malfunction, app removal, or server maintenance.
4. Intellectual Property & License Grants
1. You retain ownership and copyright in the User Content you publish on the Service.
2. By publishing User Content on the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to display, distribute, reproduce, and adapt your content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Service.
3. All proprietary programs, designs, user interfaces, logos, and trademarks related to DIYDeck are the intellectual property of AsoBePort. Unauthorized copying, modification, or reverse engineering is prohibited.
5. Account Management & Deletion
Users are responsible for safeguarding their login credentials. Users may delete their account at any time directly through the app settings or via our web deletion request form. Upon account deletion, personal identification information will be erased or anonymized.
6. Service Modification and Termination
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at our discretion without prior notice, and shall not be liable for any associated damages.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over our primary location.
